Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have officially announced a one-year contract extension with 36-year-old goalkeeper Sven Ulreich, keeping him at the club until summer 2026. The veteran, who joined Bayern in 2015 and briefly left before returning, is set to reach a 10-year milestone at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern executive Max Eberl praised: "Ulreich is a reliable presence for the team. A player like him is an asset to any squad. We’re delighted to have him with us for another season."
After joining Bayern from Stuttgart, Ulreich spent one season at Hamburg in 2020 before making his way back. To date, he has made 103 official appearances for Bayern, winning 9 Bundesliga titles, 3 DFB-Pokals, 6 DFL-Supercups, plus 1 Champions League and 1 UEFA Super Cup, earning him the label of a "trophy collector."
This extension not only recognizes his ability but also highlights Bayern’s focus on preserving the team’s heritage. In 2026, the 36-year-old "ageless keeper" will mark a decade of loyalty, continuing his legendary journey with Bayern.
