Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho is on the verge of joining Juventus in a potential player swap involving Juve striker Dusan Vlahovic. The Old Lady had pushed until the last minute to sign Sancho last summer, having secured the player's personal agreement, only for Chelsea to swoop in and seal a loan deal instead. A year later, history appears to be repeating: despite a change in Juve's transfer chiefs, the club remains eager to land Sancho, and United are open to his departure.
Juve's new general manager, Didier Comolli, holds significant assets as bargaining chips in negotiations with United. The Turin side has also tabled a competitive offer for Sancho—while his salary would be slightly lower than at United, Juve promises him a more prominent role in the squad.
Sancho's agency has never ceased contact with Juve, and the management reshuffle has not disrupted their relationship. The England international still favours a move to Juve, though other suitors like Napoli are in the race.
Talks between Juve and United have commenced, involving both direct talks and intermediary-mediated discussions. A player swap is under consideration, with Juve offering Vlahovic—whose contract also expires in 2026—as a counter. The swap would protect both clubs' assets by avoiding free transfers.
Sancho is actively pushing for the Juve move, while Vlahovic has so far refused to entertain any offers (having already turned down Turkish and Saudi sides). The Serbian insists on a guaranteed starting role at his new club, but the proposal remains viable: United could offer him a nine-figure annual salary, which aligns with his demands.
Additionally, keep an eye on Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian midfielder could return to the Premier League, having been tracked by United in January. The player himself has not ruled out a move to Old Trafford.
