Due to Real Madrid's excessive asking price for Rodrygo and the player's own expectations being inconsistent with the market, no progress has been made in the relevant transfer negotiations.

Deep down, Rodrygo actually hopes to continue staying at Real Madrid. He still aspires to earn a stable starting position in this giant club through his own efforts. Additionally, in terms of his contract, Rodrygo's deal with Real Madrid does not expire until 2028. Currently, Real Madrid's new manager Alonso has not yet held in-depth one-on-one talks with each player, which has left Rodrygo filled with more uncertainty about his future at the club.

For Real Madrid, successfully selling Rodrygo would bring in a substantial sum of money. This fund is of great significance to the club, as it could be used for targeted reinforcement of the midfield position to further enhance the team's overall strength and competitiveness. However, judging from the current situation, achieving this goal seems fraught with difficulties and almost impossible. Rodrygo's performance last season failed to reach the expected optimal level; his displays lacked sufficient consistency and stability, which has added hesitation for many clubs considering signing him.

Rodrygo himself is a person with strong self-esteem. Deep down, he has a strong desire to join a truly influential top club and also hopes to receive lucrative financial rewards matching his desired salary. However, such expectations are clearly inconsistent with the market's evaluation of him. Real Madrid originally had certain expectations for Rodrygo's transfer, hoping to sell him for €90 million.

Yet, selling Rodrygo for €90 million at this stage appears to have become an impossible task. According to relevant sources, Tottenham may offer €65 million for Rodrygo, but this still leaves a significant gap from Real Madrid's psychological expectations.
