Arsenal winger Noni Madueke suffered a knee injury during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City and is expected to be out for approximately two months.
The 23-year-old started the match but was substituted by the returning Bukayo Saka at halftime.
Head Coach Mikel Arteta said after the game: “He had an issue early in the match, and his physical condition wasn't good enough to continue playing.”
Madueke is the latest injury concern in Arsenal's attack. Previously, Kai Havertz has not yet returned after undergoing knee surgery at the end of August, while Gabriel Jesus suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee in January. Viktor Gyökeres, signed in the summer, is now the team's only regular No. 9.
