In the UEFA Nations League final, Portugal defeated Spain to win the championship.

In the first half, a defensive clearance error by Portugal allowed Zubimendi to score, giving Spain a 1-0 lead. Nuno Mendes equalized for Portugal, but Oyarzabal put Spain ahead again, leaving the score temporarily 1-2 to Spain at halftime.

In the second half, Bruno Fernandes scored, but the goal was ruled out for offside after a touch from Neto. Cristiano Ronaldo then equalized for Portugal before exiting injured near the end of regular time. The match remained 2-2 at full-time, sending it to extra time, where neither side scored.

In the penalty shootout, all five Portuguese takers converted, while Spain's Morata missed, giving Portugal a 5-3 shootout victory. This marks Portugal's second UEFA Nations League title.
