As it is currently known, Luka Jović’s next destination is likely to be Spain, with Real Oviedo standing a strong chance of being his choice. Oviedo have also shown great interest in signing Jović, and in recent hours, negotiations between the club and Jović’s agent have accelerated significantly.
Luka Jović is carefully considering his future. With his contract with Milan having expired, the Serbian forward is currently without a club. He is weighing up whether to return to Spain to join Real Oviedo and work alongside fellow Serbian coach Veljko Paunović.
However, this deal is not easy to finalize. To join Oviedo, Jović would need to make significant financial concessions. That said, despite the challenges, Jović may opt to return to La Liga—especially after his spell at Milan—to regain his best form. If Oviedo successfully sign midfielder Maksimović, Jović will have the opportunity to play alongside several Serbian compatriots such as Ilić, which will undoubtedly help him adapt and regain form more quickly.
Additionally, Oviedo manager Paunović is very familiar with Jović and believes Oviedo could be the club where he revives his career.
While Jović has received lucrative offers from Mexico and the UAE, he appears not to be swayed by these financial temptations. At present, he is more inclined to take a path that allows him to restore his competitive form, making Oviedo potentially his best option.
