Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma has informed the club of his desire to extend his current contract, which has just under two years remaining. Meanwhile, Brighton are eager to enter negotiations with the Japanese forward to discuss improved terms and a contract extension. The club aims to reward Mitoma’s performances with a new deal that reflects his significance in Fabian Hurzeler’s side.

During the winter transfer window, Brighton rejected a bid from Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr for Mitoma. Additionally, Bayern Munich have included him on their summer target list for the left-wing position.
