The Chinese Football Association (CFA) has officially announced that Dejan Djurdjevic, head coach of the China U-19 national team, will serve as the interim head coach of the China National Men's Football Team. 

To prepare for and participate in the 2025 EAFF E-1 Football Championship (East Asian Cup), after deliberation by the expert review panel, the CFA has decided that Dejan Djurdjevic will assume the role of interim head coach to lead the team in the tournament. Meanwhile, the CFA will simultaneously launch the selection process for the head coach of the China National Men's Football Team for the new cycle.

Djurdjevic, born on July 4, 1967, in Serbia, is a UEFA Pro License coach. As a player, he competed for clubs such as OFK Belgrade (Serbia), and AIK Solna (Sweden). In his coaching career, he has managed OFK Belgrade (Serbia), Pakhtakor Tashkent (Uzbekistan), the Serbia U-17 national men's football team, among others. In March 2023, Djurdjevic was appointed head coach of the China national men's football team for the Asian Games, leading the side to the quarterfinals of the Asian Games after a 17-year hiatus. In January 2024, he took charge of the China U-19 national men's football team, guiding them to the quarterfinals of the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
