Manchester United has announced that Jadon Sancho has joined Aston Villa on a season-long loan. Journalists from camel.live revealed that Sancho spoke with Marcus Rashford before joining Villa.
Manchester United signed Sancho from Borussia Dortmund for £72.8 million in the summer of 2021. At the time, then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær stated that Sancho had the potential to become a top player at Old Trafford. When Sancho joined United, he was a member of the England national team and one of the most promising players in Europe. However, before his fallout with Erik ten Hag, he only notched 12 goals and 6 assists in 83 appearances for United.
Since Chelsea opted not to sign him permanently, Sancho has been searching for a new club. Aston Villa has gotten off to a poor start this season and secured Sancho’s services on transfer deadline day.
Before joining Aston Villa on a season-long loan, Sancho held talks with Marcus Rashford. Rashford was also on loan at Villa last season, though the club ultimately chose not to sign him permanently. Rashford has now joined Barcelona.
