Lionel Messi has been named to Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Team of the Week for this round, marking his eighth selection in 2025.
In Inter Miami’s 2-1 home victory over Nashville SC, Messi scored twice – extending his streak of netting a brace to five consecutive league rounds. His previous seven Team of the Week selections came in Round 1, Round 4, Round 6, Round 15, Round 16, Round 17, and Round 22.
