The Spanish Higher Sports Council (CSD) is still deliberating a proposal calling for the removal of LaLiga President Javier Tebas.
The proposal was initiated by Miguel Galán, President of the National Football Coaches' Training Center, on the grounds that Tebas is suspected of repeatedly leaking financial information of FC Barcelona and violating his duty of neutrality. Galán revealed on his personal social media platform that 93 Barcelona members have now signed in support of this request.
Previously, Galán formally submitted a document to the CSD and its President José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes on August 12, accusing Tebas of violating "five serious violations" listed in Article 76.2.a of the Sports Law and demanding his removal. Galán has previously filed multiple complaints against several presidents of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and now he has directly targeted Tebas.
In his complaint, Galán listed five violations by Tebas related to leaking Barcelona's financial information:
On April 2 this year, LaLiga publicly rejected Barcelona's previously approved €100 million VIP box financing plan and directly quoted content from Barcelona's audit report in its statement, which is suspected of leaking confidential financial information;
After Barcelona filed a complaint, LaLiga removed the relevant announcement from its official website, which was accused of attempting to cover up the information disclosure act;
During a meeting with Athletic Club Bilbao, Tebas discussed the possible triggering of Nico Williams' release clause and talked about Barcelona's financial situation;
Tebas has repeatedly claimed in public that Barcelona has failed to meet the "1:1 financial fair play rule," further damaging the club's reputation;
On March 28, the document submitted by LaLiga to the CSD regarding the controversial incident involving Dani Olmo failed to comply with confidentiality regulations, resulting in information leakage.
Galán emphasized that these acts have not only violated the duty of neutrality but also caused substantial economic and reputational damage to Barcelona. Notably, apart from some matters proactively reported by Galán, FC Barcelona has not officially filed a complaint with the CSD regarding all the accusations.
