In the MLS Cup Final, Vancouver Whitecaps face Inter Miami. Inter Miami clinched their first-ever MLS Cup title with a 3-1 win over Vancouver Whitecaps.

It also marks Lionel Messi’s first championship since he joined MLS two and a half years ago.

In the first half, Messi executed a "La Croqueta" in midfield to dribble past two defenders and orchestrated an attack, with Alan Allende’s cross from the right flank leading to Julian Oscampo’s own goal. In the second half, Ali Ahmed  scored to equalize the game, before Messi stole the ball in the attacking third and provided a through-ball assist for Rodrigo De Paul to restore Inter Miami’s lead. The Argentine superstar then set up Allende for another goal to seal the victory.
