In Premier League Round 16, Manchester United drew 4-4 with Bournemouth at home. Media reports state that manager Rúben Amorim's decision to adjust the team's formation was leaked on the match day, and the club is conducting an investigation into the matter.

Since taking charge of Manchester United, Amorim has consistently adhered to a three-center-back formation. However, in the 16th round of the league against Bournemouth, he made a slight adjustment, moving Diogo Dalot back from the left wing-back position to the traditional full-back role in a four-back setup.

Nevertheless, this information was leaked in the afternoon of the same day. Manchester United is concerned that this allowed opponents Bournemouth to learn of the match plan in advance. The club is determined to identify the source of the leak to prevent similar incidents from happening again in the future.

When asked about the formation change in a post-match interview, Amorim said: "That's something you should discuss, not me. I know you all already found out that I used a four-back formation in training this week. I don't know how that happened, but you should talk about it this week."
