Manager Xabi Alonso has not included Rodrygo in his plans; the Spaniard named him as a substitute in four consecutive Club World Cup matches, clearly defining Rodrygo's role in the team, with Matías Soulé also set to join imminently.
However, Bayern Munich are determined to submit a significant bid for the Real Madrid forward, as the club is in urgent need of an attacker capable of both breaking through on the wings and scoring goals. Rodrygo has become the top target, and the key to a potential move to the Allianz Arena lies in Real Madrid's openness to selling him.
That said, Real Madrid have priced the Brazilian at €80 million, €20 million more than the release clause Bayern had originally planned to pay for Nico Williams. Bayern's alternative option is Liverpool's Luis Díaz, though his price tag is similar to Rodrygo's.
In recent weeks, Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal have both been in contact with Rodrygo's team, yet neither has submitted an official offer to Real Madrid.
