Both Manchester United and Real Betis have announced that Antony has transferred to Real Betis.
In the deal that sees Antony move to Real Betis for €25 million, Manchester United has retained a 50% share of any future sell-on fee.
Real Betis Balompié and Manchester United have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Antony Matheus dos Santos.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil (24 February 2000), Antony now returns to the Verdiblancos, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
The forward began his professional career at São Paulo FC before making the move to Europe in 2020. Following spells at Ajax and Manchester United, Antony first arrived at Real Betis during last season's winter transfer window.
His impressive performances in green and white yielded 9 goals and 6 assists in 26 appearances, playing a decisive role in the club's qualification for European competition and in reaching the historic UEFA Conference League final.
The new Betis signing is a full Brazilian international, having represented his country at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and winning Olympic gold in 2021.
